Marquise Brown, 25, was convicted of murder and other charges in the death of Amir Pleasant, 20, of Jersey City.

Pleasant was sitting in his car on Dwight Street April 29 when Brown approached and shot him multiple times. Pleasant drove off and crashed at Grand Street and Jersey Avenue, where he was found unconscious. He was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center.

Also found guilty were Rashad Exum, 26, who was convicted on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder; and Jahi Beatty, 21, who was found guilty of hindering apprehension or prosecution. Both are also from Jersey City.

Brown faces 30 years to life in prison. Exum faces 10 to 20 years in prison and may be subject to an extended term because of prior convictions, authorities said.
